Training

Picture
Most of the training and workshops I offer are through continuing education and/or professional development programs based in other organizations .  An organization may contact me to develop a specific workshop based on presenting needs, may choose a topic from among those listed below that I offer on a regular basis, or may ask that I take an existing workshop and modify it so that it is even more consistent with the organization’s direction or questions arising from staff.

In addition to agency-based professional development workshops, I will, on occasion, offer workshops as part of my practice.  These workshops are developed as a response to themes I see arising in my clinical caseload, themes other therapists are seeing in their own practices, and/or topics and content that are arising as a result of the socio-political climate in which we are presently living.  In many instances, it is a combination of factors and forces that result in workshops offered through my practice.

Please ask me about any topic that seems relevant and interesting and if I can accommodate your request, I am happy to do so.  If it doesn’t feel like a good fit for me, I will also work with you to identify other possible resources.  In most instances, continuing education units are offered for training I facilitate, but if you have a question about this, please ask.

Below is a partial list of workshops I have developed and am able to provide on fairly short notice:

  • Being an Ethical Rebel:Challenging the Usual in Ethics and Boundaries in Clinical Practice (meets ethics requirements for social work re-licensure)
  • Introduction to Trauma Informed Practice
